Very Large Array Radio Telescope

Made famous by the movie Contact, the radio telescope is where scientists explore the heavens by collecting the radio waves generated by objects deep in space. This collection of 27 dish antennas, each the size of baseball diamond lies in the New Mexico desert west of Soccoro.
