San Francisco Hotel Rates Rising

The San Francisco Chronicle reported this week that hotel costs have risen by 205 in the past two years, with occupancy at 78%. The sources they cited expect the average nightly rate in the City by the Bay, now at $153 per night, to rise to $200 by 2010.

This doesn't mean that you'll have to give up your dream of a San Francisco vacation because of the price, but it does mean that you need to shop smart.
