Great Expectations for the California Snow Season
Monday December 4, 2006
The San Jose Mercury News reported yesterday that expectations are running high for this year's California skiing season. Meteorologists are predicting a lot of snow in the California Sierras, and they also mention that many locations have new facilities, something we first commented on earlier this year, especially the new Northstar at Tahoe Resort and upgrades at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
The Mercury News also reports that there's a new alternative to the Lake Tahoe gridlock northern California skiers have come to expect, with a daily shuttle running from the Reno aiport to North Lake Tahoe resorts.
