Finally, the wait for Disney's Cars Land in the California Adventure park will be over in 2012. In their continuing quest to remain at the top of the thrill-ride ratings, Six Flags Magic Mountain premieres LEX LUTHOR: Drop of Doom, with a 400-foot drop at up to 80 mph. Riders sit in a floorless gondola, designed to enhance the stomach-churning drop during 5 seconds of free fall. And just so the two archenemies don't get too far apart, this ride is attached to both sides of the iconic SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton.
Sea World San Diego plans to launch a new roller coaster in 2012 called Manta, which will simulate the feeling of "flying" under water like a Manta Ray.
