According to a lot of reports we've seen lately, more and more people are going camping as part of their recreational plans. so last month we asked about when and where you - our readers - like to go camping.
One-third of those who voted say they camp in a tent and the majority like to camp at the beach, which is a great place to pitch a tent without worrying about ending up with your bed on top of a rock.
So, if you want to go camping at the beach, in a tent (or otherwise), we've been to every campground along the California coast that claims to be on the beach. It's probably not surprising that some of those just have a glimpse of the beach, are cut off from it by a road or railroad - or are on top of a cliff and not on the sand. We sifted out the ones that are really beach campground and you'll find the list here.
The back is to old for the tent sort of thing, but I enjoy being in the outdoors.
