Last month, we quoted a poll conducted last year by Marist, that reported 55% of those asked said they wouldn't be booking a summer vacation. We're happy to hear that our readers are bucking that trend, with only 7% in last month's poll saying they weren't going on vacation at all this year and 29% taking a vacation of a week or longer.
A little over half of our readers say they are planning to hit the road for several shorter weekend trips (so-called "staycations," a term coined for vacationing while staying close to home) or doing things they can go to and get back home in a day.
