Getting Hotel Deals

In last month's poll, 30% of readers said they had used a site like Travelocity or Expedia to find hotel deals, but that's far from the only way to get the best price on a hotel room.

In fact, we regularly find better prices than than what they have just by going straight to the hotel website or using our AAA member discount. We also have some super-saver strategies, including what may seem charmingly old-fashioned: calling the hotel to ask, something that less than one out of eight poll responders had tried.
