This "meat" is as fake as it looks, plastic pieces hanging over a red light bulb "fire." It's an amusing sight, but also symbolic of much of Gaslamp dining. With so many conventioneers passing through the Gaslamp, emphasis often leans toward getting people in the door rather than providing a great dining experience once you're inside.
