- Granite Dome
Is it Half Dome? This view from Tioga Road looks like it, but is it?

Is this panoramic view captured by John Fischer is enough to convince you to take the hike to see it?
- Tenaya Lake
Don't just speed by on your way to Tioga Pass, stop and get a good look at Yosemite's prettiest lake.

It sounds odd, but if it's brown, it must be summer.

Taking Yosemite Pictures - Tips
A few hints for taking your own Yosemite pictures :
- Take your Yosemite Valley pictures in early morning or late afternoon, when the light strikes the rocks.
- Try using a warming filter (81A or 81B). It removes blue-tinted UV reflections from your Yosemite pictures , especially in the shadows. If you have a digital camera, switch its white balance to cloudy or shade.
- Some dramatic Yosemite pictures can be taken from Glacier Point when it's open.
