BIG SUR CAMPING

• Andrew Molera State Park: First come, first served. Big Sur camping

• Big Sur Campground and Cabins: Cabins with fireplaces and kitchens. Summer tent cabin camping. Store, laundry, basketball court, playground.

• Bottcher's Gap: Eight miles inland up a narrow and often bumpy road. 12 units.

• Fernwood Resort: They've got all forms of camping in a pretty spot on the Big Sur River, including tent cabins, tent sites and places to camp in your RV.

• Kirk Creek: 34 sites overlooking the ocean. RVs permitted, but nearest dump station is 35-40 miles away.

• Limekiln State Park Campground: 33 campsites in a beautiful Big Sur camping location.

• Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park Campgrounds: Many campsites of all types. Restaurant, store.

• Plaskett Creek Campground: Family campsites in a park-like setting.

• Riverside Campground and Cabins: 45 sites for tents and RVs. Camping along the Big Sur River. Laundry.

• Treebones Resort: Their luxury yurts are technically a tent (they have canvas sides), but this place qualifies as glamorous camping for sure.

• Ventana Big Sur Campground: Beautiful location in a box canyon with a stream flowing through a grove of redwoods. 80 campsites. Tents and RVs up to 22 feet. Hot Showers, flush toilets.
