Colorado State Capitol

Sporting a 24-karat gold-plated dome, built of Colorado white granite in a style reminiscent of the nation's capitol, Colorado's state capitol building is a key feature in the Denver skyline.

Free guided tours explain and illustrate Colorado history, Capitol construction and the lawmaking process. Sights include the dome, stained glass windows, the Women's Gold Tapestry, presidential portraits and a stop outside the legislature's chambers.
