Ways to Get to the Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California. Anaheim is in Orange County, part of the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.

The Disneyland Address is 1313 S. Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, CA. Some say the double 13's in the Disneyland address stand for M. M., Mickey Mouse's initials (M is the 13th letter in the alphabet).

Arriving by Air

There are five commercial airports in the Los Angeles area: Los Angeles International (LAX), John Wayne/Orange County (SNA), Long Beach (LGB), Burbank (BUR), and Ontario (ONT). Orange County is closest to Disneyland, but LAX is served by more airlines and flights going there may be cheaper. Also consider San Diego if you are planning on spending part of your vacation there. Take a look at the map to see the relationship of the various locations to the Disneyland resort.

You can get a shuttle to Disneyland from any Los Angeles area airport. Popular local shuttle companies include Super Shuttle and Golden West Express. Reserve in advance, or you can get a shuttle curbside at the larger airports. You can also rent a car and drive, but if the Disneyland resort is your only destination, it may be an unnecessary expense.

Grayline Anaheim operates the Disneyland Resort Express bus service from LAX or John Wayne Airport to Disneyland, leaving every 30 minutes to an hour. You need to reserve with them at least 48 hours in advance. However, if you are traveling in a group, you may find that it's cheaper to rent a car than use their service.

Arriving by Car

Disneyland Resort is located just off I-5 in Anaheim. Exit at either the Harbor Blvd. or Disneyland exit. Get a good map and check traffic reports before you set out. If you have a GPS system, enter the Disneyland address above. It will take you to the front gate, and you can follow signs from there to the parking areas.

Like everything else at Disneyland, parking is very efficient. Just follow signs and friendly people directing you and you can't go wrong. If anyone in your party has mobility problems, just tell the parking attendant as you go in. They have special parking places and vans to take you to the entrance.

Getting to Disneyland from San Diego

Viator.com offers luxury hotel-to-hotel bus service from San Diego to Anaheim.

Some tour companies offer ticket/transporation packages to Disneyland from San Diego, but they can cost as much as $40 per person over the full ticket price with no chance for discounts, and your time is limited. Instead, rent a car from a company such as Fox Rent-a-Car.

Once you get to Anaheim, you still need to get to the park. Read about how to get around.
