There's a lot to see in San Diego, and any list of the "top" sights is bound to be subjective. Our list of top things to do in San Diego is no exception. It's a combination of the most popular San Diego sights and my personal favorites:

Top 10 Things to do in San Diego

• San Diego Zoo: World famous, and deservedly so.

• Wild Animal Park: Animals in large, open spaces, the next best thing to a safari.

• La Jolla Charming, romantic seaside town. Go for shopping, galleries or tidepool-hopping.

• Tijuana: The most popular border town is a short trolley ride away.

• Harbor Cruise: San Diego has a long-standing maritime heritage and a beautiful skyline, and you can enjoy them both from a boat.

• Balboa Park and Museums: America's largest urban cultural park has more than 25 museums and attractions from astronomical to horticultural.

• Old Town: Mexican restaurants and historic tours in the city's oldest neighborhood.

• Sea World: Shamu and her buddies perform daily.

• Coronado: Home to the elegant Hotel Del Coronado and one of the best beaches in the country.

• The Beach: With seventy miles of sand and surf, there's plenty of space away from the other San Diego attractions.

There are plenty of other things to do in San Diego besides the ones on this list. If you are very interested in a specific sight or activity, and you have plenty of information about it, don't skip it because of my recommendations.
