Green Bluff Growers

Visitor Information - Green Bluff Growers

By Betsy Malloy, About.com

Green Bluff Growers is an association of small farms and food stands. Seasonal activities include pick-your-own fruit, and annual festival (June Strawberry Celebration, July Cherry Festival, Cherry Pickers' Trot and Pit Spit, August Peach Festival and September Apple Festival).

If you're a city-slicker who's never had an opportunity to pick your own fruit, or if you're traveling with the kids, take a drive out to Green Bluff for a taste of the farm. The crops you'll find ripe vary by season, but when we visited in early August, we bought apricots picked less than an hour before we arrived, and got a chance to examine ripe wheat in a field beside the road.
