Flagstaff Events

March 30 - April 1, 2001 are the dates for this special Book Festival. Web site gives events, readings, workshops, ticket information and other special events concering this popular festival.

Flagstaff's local daily newspaper, the "Arizona Daily Sun", produces this calendar that includes happenings in both Flagstaff and Sedona.

Coconino County Parks and Recreation runs the County Fair each year, which takes place at Ft. Tuthill County Fairgrounds. Enjoy the carnival, competitions, entertainment, exhibits, vendors, demolition derby, children's area and much more.

This 3-day juried arts & crafts festival in early August, which takes place at Ft. Tuthill at Coconino County Fairgrounds. There will be live music and an interactive activity area for children.

Official homepage of the Flagstaff Festival of Science, which is a popular annual event taking place each fall in Flagstaff. It is a multiple day event promoting the love of science for all with many venues around Flagstaff. One annual feature is an asteroid naming contest.

The first weekend of June is when the Arizona Historical Society Pioneer Museum, at 2340 N. Fort Valley Rd. in Flagstaff, hosts the Wool Festival. Events include sheep shearing, livestock and fleece judging, wool spinning, and traditional crafts.

This annual event held at the Shrine of the Ages, Grand Canyon National Park presents "seven evenings of some of the most preeminent Chamber music." In 2001, it will take place from Sept. 7-22. You may order tickets online and view the schedule of events.

This annual beer festival at Coconino Fair Grounds benefits Sun Sounds Reading Radio Service.

Enjoy the 1st Annual Mountain Campus Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair to benefit the United Way of Northern Arizona on Friday, November 30th and December 1, 2001 at Northern Arizona University's Old Main and Ashurst Buildings.

"The Rhythm and Roots Concert Series, presented by Jonathan Holden, is a destination entertainment event with national and regional artists performing an eclectic mix of country, celtic, flamenco, folk and bluegrass." This series will take place at Coconino Center for the Arts.
