Palatki Heritage Site Review
The Palatki Heritage site is actually two sites: the two-story-tall ruins of a Sinaqua Cliff Dwelling and a collection of over 1,000 petroglyphs and pictographs carved and painted into the rocks and formations some 6,000 years ago.Trails lead to each site. Neither is difficult, but good walking shoes are advised. Unfortunately, there is no handicapped access. Another cliff dwelling and rock art site, Honanki ("Bear House") is nearby. Ask for directions. Some local jeep tour operators include Honanki (but not Palatki Heritage Site) on their excursions.
