Scott Creek Beach is an easily accessible nude beach near a busy family beach area.


Santa Cruz County between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay Get a map and directions.


One-half mile long beach at the bottom of a small bluff. At the north end is a great surfing spot.

Who's at Scott Creek Beach

Surfers (Oct - May), suited sunbathers, skinny-dippers. Lots of families (clothed) in the area near the highway.

Swimming is not advised because of the undertow.

Elephant seals get away with behavior that humans might be arrested for at nearby Ano Nuevo State Park. It's worth a side trip to see the spectacle, which peaks in January.
