The Los Angeles end of your trip is the intersection of I-10 and I-405 near UCLA, the Getty Museum and the upscale Brentwood neighborhood. In the early twentieth century, drivers passed near this same spot on historic US Route 66, near the end of their journey, on their way to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica.
You'll find plenty of places to stop for food and fuel along the highway, but if you need something to get you started, exit I-405 at Santa Monica Boulevard.
