From the warm, cheerful decor and furniture imported from Guadalajara to the sparkling-clean swimming pool and the helpful desk staff, this property exemplifies its owners' signature style, a friendly mix of Australian hospitality and simple pricing.
The Pepper Tree is a great place for families, with small, equipped kitchenettes in each room where you could easily make a bowl of oatmeal or a sandwich and plenty of room in the refrigerator for cold drinks.
Few places anywhere are as clean and comfortable for such a low rate, and comparable properties for under $100 per night are non-existent in the Disneyland area, making it an exceptional value for money.
A word of warning: The low rates quoted on the website are exactly what you'll be charged, but the reservation system is a little confusing, and it may look at first as if you room rate has unexpectedly doubled. Keep looking and you'll realize it hasn't.
Oddly, my room at the Pepper Tree did not have a clock, but these days, a cell phone makes an easy replacement.
