The Moss Distillery is famous for its ocean view, fine dining and mischevious ghost. In the 1920s, a young woman named Elizabeth Claire Donovan often visited the Distillery, where she kindled an illicit affair. Leaving her husband and son, Elizabeth fell in love with a piano player. She was seen every afternoon wearing a blue dress, thus her title of The Blue Lady. She carried on her affair until she died in a violent automobile accident.
Elizabeth now haunts the Distillery searching for her love, the piano player. Although not a hostile ghost, Elizabeth, more commonly known as "Cayte" has levitated checkbooks, made mysterious phone calls and stolen earrings, taking them to obscure locations.
Hunting The Blue Lady
Various psychics have investigated the Moss Distillery, including Loyd Auerbach and Annette Martin. Their seances have uncovered information about the ghost, revealing her name and history up to her death. According to the psychics, Elizabeth prefers being called Cayte and wanted a change in wardrobe from blue to black.More Haunted Things in the Bay Area
