Flo Haunts the 1895 National Hotel

A woman checked into the National Hotel in 1897, telling fellow guests that she had come there to meet and marry a handsome young lawyer named Henry, who she had met during a train journey to San Francisco. He joined her and they were happily planning a wedding when sadly, Henry was murdered.

A short time later, she was found dead in her room, dressed in her wedding gown, sitting in a chair. A local doctor said the cause of death was simply that her heart stopped.

Today Flo's ghost stays mostly upstairs where guests report doors slamming, lights turning on and off. Some say their clothing has been dumped out of their suitcases. Occasionally, she wanders through the downstairs dining room in the early morning. She's reported to be a cheerful - albeit somewhat mischievous - presence. If you spend the night, check the notebook in your room to find out what others have reported about her.
