The town of San Simeon is closest to the Castle, and it has a few hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts. A few minutes farther away is Cambria, a charming town with art galleries and many lodging options. Both Cambria and San Simeon are south of the Castle. About 20 minutes' drive north of the Castle is Ragged Point and a bit further south, you'll find Cayucos and Morro Bay.
