Squaw Valley USA has been a known ski destination since it hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics, and we rate it best at Lake Tahoe for expert skiing and snowboarding.

Squaw Valley USA boasts six mountain peaks, ranging in elevation from Snow King's 7,550 feet to Granite Chief at 9,050 feet. The highest lift goes to about 8,700 feet. Average annual snowfall is 450 inches (11 meters). Night skiing usually runs from mid December through early April.
