Tripadvisor reviews of the Resort at Squaw Creek

Resort at Squaw Creek Review:

The Resort at Squaw Creek is situated in Squaw Valley, with its public areas facing the biggest peaks in Squaw Valley and its rooms having either valley or mountain views. This beautiful setting is one of the resort's biggest assets.

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which was clean and comfortably furnished in warm-toned fabrics. The separate bedroom makes it easy for the early sleeper to snooze in peace while the night owl watched television. When we were awake, neither of us ever got tired of looking out the window across the valley.

With free wireless Internet access and a desk, business travelers will find plenty of room to spread out and work here, especially in the suites, but the Resort at Squaw Creek is after all, a resort and if you'd rather relax than work, the on-premises spa is exceptionally well-run and clean. They offer a variety of facials and massages, and the nearby salon offers manicures, pedicures and hair styling services by reservation.

Sandy's Pub has a sports bar-style atmosphere, and is a great place to eat with the kids, where they can make noise and no one will notice (or care). Six Peaks Grille has gorgeous valley views from every table, but its over-ambitious chef often misses the mark while trying new innovations, making it a poor value for money. When we visited Ristorante Montagna was closing for renovation.

Unfortunately, the recent renovation at the Resort at Squaw Creek did not address soundproofing on the doors, and we could hear every conversation in the hallway and in the adjoining room. If you're a light sleeper, we highly recommend that you make sure your room does not have a connecting door.
