The Getty Villa is less than a mile north of the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway. Look for the signs.
Driving Instructions
To get to the Getty Villa by car, take I-10 west to Santa Monica, then follow Pacific Coast Highway west toward Malibu. You have to be driving northbound on Pacific Coast Highway to get in. If you're going east toward Santa Monica, continue to Sunset Boulevard, turn left and find a place to turn around, then go back to Pacific Coast Highway and turn right.
Parking is available at the Villa for vehicles up to 6'10" tall and standard automobile length and width. If you're driving a larger vehicle, you'll have to park it somewhere else and take a taxi or public transportation. Your easiest option, which will be easier on a weekday than on a weekend, is to park along Pacific Coast Highway and walk to the nearest public bus stop.
Public Transportation
Los Angeles Metro Bus 534 stops near the Getty Villa entrance on Pacific Coast Highway. If you arrive by public transportation, you still need an advance, timed ticket and you will have to show your bus receipt or transfer at the gate.
