Owner Darioush Khaledi wanted his winery building to evoke Persepolis, capital of ancient Persia, honoring his Persian heritage. According to architects Ardeshir and Roshan Nozari, the free-standing columns out front are meant to symbolize trees. The building is made of golden-yellow travertine stone quarried near ancient Persepolis, cut and shaped in Turkey and Italy.
