One of only two places in California where a type of waterfall called a tidefall drops onto the beach (the other is McWay Falls in Big Sur), Wildcat Beach is where you'll find Alamere Falls. This 40-foot-tall waterfall is more impressive during the rainy winter season.
To access Wildcat Beach, you have to hike over 5 miles, one way. The shortest route is along the Coast Trail from the Palomarin trailhead.
