Guide Review - Weston House

The Weston House sits in the middle of a beautiful, forested region, on the side of a hill. Its location creates one of its greatest appeals, the views from its windows, decks and patios. The rooms are comfortable, decorated in the unique style of owner Angela Weston, who is also a fine breakfast chef.

We like the laid-back ambiance of the Weston House and apparently others do, too - many guests get hooked on the place, returning frequently to relax and enjoy the area. The location is near Lassen National Volcanic Park and convenient for day-tripping along the Volcanic Scenic Byway or north to Mount Shasta. You'll also find fine trout fishing nearby, as well as some spectacular hikes.

The only drawback to staying at the Weston House is the lack of places to have a meal nearby. Your best option may be to bring your own food or eat on the way there. Rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

If stairs are a problem for you, mention it when you make your reservation to be sure you get the accessible room.
