CADE is Napa Valley’s first organically farmed, LEED Gold certified winery - a designation that underscores their environmental consciousness. From a visitor's perspective, their location may be far more memorable - so captivating that you may just want to settle in and never leave.
CADE sits on a mountainside with the best views we've found at any Napa winery and a clear day, you can see up the valley all the way Mt. Diablo (almost 90 miles away).
The architecture is unassuming, with simple lines that provide the perfect backdrop to some of the prettiest Manzanita trees we've seen in California. In fact, the large specimen near the winery entrance is so nicely shaped that it's the basis for their logo.
With such an arresting view to look at, you may not notice much else about CADE, but their wine quality is also excellent. In 2010, Wine Spectator magazine gave their 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain and Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley both 92 points.
Tourist Experience: You can't beat the views at CADE - and their wines are great, too
If your time in Napa Valley is limited, you may think a side trip to CADE would take too much of your day, but it's a great addition to any wine country visit and an especially nice destination for repeat visitors.
