A small, privately-owned winery born from a love of "the romantic side of winemaking; growing grapes, working the land, and enjoying the wine country lifestyle," according to their website, Signorello Estate sits just a few hundred feet above Silverado Trail, just high enough to get out of the busy Napa Valley and allowing excellent views.

Pair the Signorello family's love of wine with their love of food, and this small place is one of the most enjoyable spots you'll find in all of Napa Valley.

Signorello Estate Review

Wine Quality: Excellent. We liked everything we tasted, and we're not alone. Signorello wines have earned ratings as high as 97 from the Wine Enthusiast, ranking among that organization's top 100 wines of the year. The San Francisco Chronicle called them a Star of 2008 and their wines have only gotten better since then.

Tourist Experience: Like almost everyone else, Signorello has a tasting room, but their food and wine pairings are the reason to visit - and they're some of the best we've experienced.

Wine should be enjoyed with food, and at Signorello they intend to show you just how great that pairing can be. On weekends during good weather, April through October they serve freshly baked, wood-fired oven pizza, made within steps of the poolside patio. Sitting with a view across Napa Valley, eating good food and enjoying good wine makes Signorello one of our Napa Valley favorites. Even better, it's a great value for money and an exciting way to start a day in wine country.

The Enoteca Signorello experience is a 1.5-hour dining and tasting delight, served outside on the patio or indoors in an intimate dining room. Since the arrival of chef Michael McMillan, the Entoca's soars to match the quality of their wines - and we especially like the immediacy of it all - ingredients plucked from the nearby garden, cooked and presented by the chef himself.

For some of the courses, Signorello partners with Snake River Farms, American producers of Kobe-style Wagyu beef, which pairs especially well with Signorello's Bordeaux-style Cabernets.
