It's easy to get discounts on adult admissions at Knott's, but the children/senior admission is seldom discounted. Knott's Berry Farm listed ticket prices for 2008 (adult/child or senior) are:

• Online: $43/$19.99
• At the gate: $49.99/$19.99
• AAA members: $39.99/$19.99
• After 4:00 p.m.: $24.99/$19.99

Parking is extra.

Knott's Berry Farm Tickets Discounts

You'll wait around enough once you get inside, but you can at least get off to a good start. Buy your tickets online ahead of time and go straight to the entrance.

Discounts to Knott's Berry Farm abound, and there's little need to pay full price, ever. A few options, in order from lowest price (as of April, 2008) to highest:

• Perhaps one of the easiest ways to save money at Knott's is to simply be late. Any day the park is open past 6:00 p.m., adults can get in for a big discount if they come after 4:00. Kids' ticket prices do not change.

• ARES Travel offers the lowest price for adult tickets and the only discount we've seen on kids' tickets (although it's a small amount).

• AAA members get a discount of about 20% on adult tickets, but only at the ticket booth. Be sure to have your card with you.

• Knott's also offers discounts for Southern California residents. You need proof of residence in zip codes 90000-93599 and have to buy the tickets at the gate.

• Order at the Knott's website. You get a print-at-home voucher right away and you can save about 15% on adult tickets.

• You can also order online through Viator.com. They guarantee to match the box office price, and you get a print-at-home voucher. If you're planning on ordering other tickets from them, it may be worth it for the sake of convenience, but otherwise you'll pay less for adult tickets by buying direct through Knott's website. Kids' and senior tickets are the same price through both sources.

• The Go Los Angeles Card offers a lot of attractions at a very reasonable price, including Knott's Berry Farm. How much you save depends on how many things you do. You can only do so many of them before your card expires, so be sure you can do enough to make it a good deal for you.

• From time to time, Knott's offers discounts with coupons you pick up at places like Burger King, Albertson's grocery stores or TGI Friday's. Check their website for the latest promotions. Beware if you have to redeem coupons at guest services, where lines can move at glacier-like speed.

• If you have a Cedar Fair platinum season pass, it's good at Knott's as well as Gilroy Gardens, Great America and other Cedar Fair parks.
