Sunset Cove Villas are the closest many of us will ever come to knowing what it's like to live in a luxurious, oceanfront Laguna Beach home. Bring enough people and they're a good value for money, too.

Guide Review - Sunset Cove Villas
Situated just a block off Coast Highway in Laguna Beach and right above a beach with private access, Sunset Cove Villas couldn't be much better - or more convenient - for a relaxing stay. It's so close you can walk to town, to dinner, to the Pageant of the Masters and the beach. That is, if you can drag yourself away from the million-dollar views.

To get a better look at the villas, visit the website. The pictures there are extremely accurate and coupled with the floor plans, they'll give you a good idea of what each villa is like. Pay attention the list of amenities when choosing your spot: two of the villas do not have a view (a good thing if you want to save some money and don't mind using the shared sun deck).

Rates range vary by location, view and number of people the villa can accommodate. Best values are off-season (after Labor Day to just before Memorial Day), when two couples sharing a smaller unit would pay no more to stay here than they would in a low- to moderate-priced area motel. Minimum stay in summer is a week, but off-season, there's only a three-night minimum.

Sunset Cove isn't the first property to assume that everyone wants to sleep on squishy feathers - and they probably won't be the last to be wrong about it, either - at least in our opinion. Unfortunately, lack of comfortable pillows led to some restless nights, the only thing that marred an otherwise perfect week.

We stayed at Sunset Cove Villas in August, 2009. As is common in the travel industry, the writer was provided with complimentary accommodation for the purpose of reviewing Sunset Cove Villas.
