The Bottom Line
For San Francisco visitors with the budget to stay there, Hotel Vitale is a great choice. It's convenient to many locations and offers some of the best views of any hotel in San Francisco.

If you want to watch the New Year's fireworks in comfort, book one of their waterfront rooms well in advance. While they don't jack up their prices like some places do, they do fill up fast.

Guide Review - Hotel Vitale San Francisco
The Hotel Vitale is sleek and modern yet comfortable and its location can't be surpassed. In a city where many hotels cling to older, more ornate decor and ambience, it's a breath of fresh air.

The Hotel Vitale's rooms are very comfortable and nicely laid out, with large bathrooms. Waterfront rooms offer panoramic views of the Ferry Building and San Francisco Bay Bridge and we highly recommend booking one. Despite their somewhat higher cost, you can't put a price on waking up the see the Bay Bridge out your window. Despite sitting just above the busy Embarcadero, traffic noise is very slight and room-to-room noise nonexistent.

We also enjoy the little touches at Hotel Vitale. The most surprising: When our car returned from valet parking, we found two bottles of water placed inside.

One of Hotel Vitale's best-hidden secrets is its rooftop terraces. Accessible from the upper floors, they provide unobstructed views and comfortable places to sit and relax. Their spa also has terrific views and outdoor soaking tubs.

As is common in the travel industry, the writer was provided with complimentary accommodation for the purpose of reviewing Hotel Vitale.
