Moved to Fisherman's Wharf a few years ago from its former home beneath the Cliff House, this museum is full of old-fashioned arcade games and curiosities, which still seem to charm even the most jaded video game-player.
The character you see painted outside the entrance is Laughing Sal, a remnant of Playland at the Beach, an amusement park that stood across the street from Ocean Beach from 1928 to 1972. You can find another icon of the classic amusement park inside the entrance of the Cliff House.
