To get to Angel Island, you have to take a ferry or your own boat. The camp sites are walk-in, about two miles with 300-foot elevation gain.

Capacity:

9 primitive camp sites
8 people max per site
1 ADA site
1 kayak camp that holds up to 20 people

Primary Needs:

Cafe near the ferry arrival area
Pit toilets
Running water
Bring charcoal or a stove - no wood fires allowed

Recreation:

Hiking
Biking (rentals available)
Tram tours

Surroundings:

Sites vary. The ones on the west side of the island have views of San Francisco.

Furry Friends:

Dogs are not allowed (service animals excepted)

Reservations:

California State Park campgrounds must be reserved in advance and you'll have to do it as much as 6 months in advance. Our guide to California state parks reservations will show you how.

If the ADA site is not reserved, it is available on a same day, first come, first-served basis at the island camper kiosk.
