About.com's Spa editor rates CordeValle among the best resort spas in the state and we agree. Because the spa is open only to CordeValle golf club members and hotel guests, it's not crowded. Like the rest of the resort it's located in, it's one of the best in California, beautifully appointed, skillfully staffed and stocked with everything you might need.

Guide Review - Spa at CordeValle, a Rosewood Resort
The locker rooms, showers and changing areas at the CordeValle Spa are clean, pretty, well maintained and stocked with just about everything you might need. As nice as they are in the women's area, my husband says we ladies should go on strike, describing the men's side, where he found a pool table, bar, shoeshines and cigar room. He also reports that the fitness center is one of the best he's tried at any California resort.
While he was in the gym, I had their Harvest Crush treatment, a 90-minute process that included a steam bath, Vichy shower, crushed grapeseed exfoliation and a grapeseed oil massage. My therapist was friendly, diligent and successful in removing muscle tension. Her friendly manner made me very comfortable with the shower, a procedure I had not experienced before and was a little doubtful about. As I write this, my back and shoulders feel better than they have for weeks.
The spa at CordeValle is only open to golf club members and resort guests, and a stay at the resort is a great complement to the relaxing spa treatments. Check their website for weekend specials that include spa treatments.
