General Information About Porcupine Flat Campground

Porcupine Flat Campground is on Tioga Road (Hwy 120), about one hour and fifteen minutes north of Yosemite Valley.

  • Open: July through Middle of October
  • Capacity: 52 sites, maximum of 6 people per campsite
  • Elevation: 8,100 feet (2,500 meters)
  • No RV hookups. Maximum RV length is 24 feet, trailers 20 feet.
No RV hookups, limited number of RV sites. Maximum RV length 24 feet, 20 feet for trailers. Porcupine Flat is often the last campsite at Yosemite to fill up.

  • Vaulted toilets
  • Showers in Yosemite Valley at Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp
  • No potable water (bring a container to carry water from stream to your site, and treat water by boiling, filtering or using iodine)
  • Grocery store at Crane Flat or Tuolumne Meadows
  • Dump station at Yosemite Valley or Tuloumne Meadows Campground
Every campsite has:
  • Picnic table
  • Fire ring
  • Bear-proof locker
