Located beside the Merced River and steps from the start of a beautiful wildflower trail, Yosemite Resort Homes are one of the area's best-kept lodging secrets, a great spot for a romantic getaway, weekend with friends or small family get-together.
I stayed at Yosemite Resort Homes with friends on a spring weekend. We hiked the Hite Cove Trail, where I logged pictures per mile while the others clocked miles per hour on the trail. Eveyone came back hungry. If it had been summer, we would have lounged on the riverside patio and grilled burgers. Since it was still cool, we stayed inside, sharing cooking duties, which made delicious eating and light work for all. The spacious River's Edge home provided plenty of privacy as well as lot of places to spread out and relax.
Yosemite Resort Homes offer the comfort of renting a house with the convenience of a hotel. Compared to costs at nearby hotels, taking into account extra space and comfort, Yosemite Resort Homes are a good alternative. Add convenience and cost-savings of cooking your own meals in the fully-supplied kitchens, and it's great value for money.
The Yosemite Resort Homes are about 20 minutes from Yosemite's west entrance and 45 minutes from the Valley. You can catch the YARTS bus to Yosemite just down the road at Cedar Lodge, which is also where you check in. Checkout time is 11 a.m. Check in is 4 p.m. Judging from signs on the door, don't try to get in early.
Getting to Yosemite Resort Homes
Yosemite Resort Homes are on CA 140 east of Merced, about 22 miles past Mariposa, where the Merced River's South Fork joins the main river, at Savage's Trading Post.
