The Santa Fe Opera performs a selection of operatic works each summer, but things to do don't stop there. Other activities include:- Backstage Tours: Offered at 1 p. m. daily, Monday through Saturday during the season. Tours start at the Santa Fe Opera Box Office and reservations are not needed. There is a small charge for adults.
- Prelude Talks: Two talks given before each performance, one starting two hours before each performance and the second one hour before curtain. Prelude Talks are offered free to Santa Fe Opera ticket holders.
- Dining: A buffet dinner (reservations required) is served nightly beneath a colorful tent overlooking the gardens and pool, with a short talk about the evening's performance given during dessert. Attendees can also enjoy picnic suppers or bring a tailgate picnic.

The Santa Fe Opera is 7 miles north of the downtown Santa Fe Plaza on the west side of U.S. Highway 84/285.Your best and easiest choice is the nightly shuttle bus service that runs from both Santa Fe and Albuquerque. It includes an "early-bird" shuttle for those who want to take in a talk or have dinner before the performance. Reservations are required and can be made through the Box Office at (505) 986-5900 or (800) 280-4654.
If you're driving, exit US 84/285 at the South Tesuque exit and follow the signs.
