These shops are a little-known Wright design that is not generally recognized as one of his better works. In fact, the design fails to strike a chord even with this fan who spent over two years researching and photographing every Wright structure in the state of California.

Anderton Court is a series of small boutiques around a central light well, connected by an angular ramp. It was designed in 1952. The tower is similar to the one at the Marin Civic Center. Today's canopy and signage are later additions, not consistent with Wright's original design. The original, pale, yellow-brown with oxidized-copper-color trim has been painted over in black and white.
