Fantasyland has more rides than any section of Disneyland, and all of them are targeted toward younger children. The iconic Sleeping Beauty's Castle shown in the picture is the gateway, reached by walking straight down Main Street from the entrance. Before you go in, make a little detour to the right to visit Snow White's Grotto, a charming spot for a quiet moment and a great place to meet your group if you get separated.

The castle is smaller than at other Disney parks because Walt Disney wanted to be sure it didn't intimidate visitors. It drawbridge can be raised and the swans are real. It's also an attraction, with a walk-through of Sleeping Beauty's life, in animated displays. If your little one is afraid of witch Maleficent, don't go. Last time in, a little girl was refusing the pass the dungeon door where the evil-doer was supposedly imprisoned.

Because the fireworks show is set off over the castle, Fantasyland is closed for a while before and after.

Use the Guide to Fantasyland to get all the specifics about the rides, height restrictions and helpful tips.
