All the colorful glass bottles that ended up in the trash dump have now been transformed into beautiful, colored "sea glass," polished by the waves. For many years, you could pick up the glass bits and take them home, but since the property came under the control of the state park service, scavenging is no longer allowed. Hopefully, this will preserve the glass for future generations to enjoy.
