Devil's Postpile
Geologists say this formation is one of the world's finest examples of columnar basalt. In this unusual spot, hexagonal rock columns tower over 60 feet high, stacked as close together as next winter's firewood. Two miles downstream, you'll find Rainbow Falls. Both of these natural wonders are found near the town of Mammoth.
