Squaw Village and Cable Car

Courtesy of Chris Beck/Squaw Valley Ski Corp.
You can see the cable car running up toward High Camp, a 2000-foot vertical climb.

The Cable Car building, built in 1968, won an architectural award for excellence and is highlighted by a bold design and huge windows that let you see the counterweights that support the cable car. Inside, you'll find a 30-foot indoor climbing wall.

If you're skiing, a lift ticket will get you on the cable car, which runs about every 20 minutes. If you're not, you can buy a "ride only" ticket.
