- Pike Place Market: Farmer's market, antiques, handmade crafts and the world's first Starbucks.
- Pioneer Square: Seattle's historic area.
- Seattle Aquarium: A great place for kids and curious adults.
- Seattle Center: Site of the 1962 World's Fair is home to some great museums and sights.
- Seattle Museum of Flight: An extensive collection of historic aircraft, the original Boeing Barn, a retired Concorde and the original Air Force One are only a few of this museum's holdings.
- Space Needle: A Seattle icon with a terrific view.
- Underground Tour: Learn about Seattle's history with a little dose of humor.
- Woodland Park Zoo: An award-winning zoo.
There are plenty of other things to do in Seattle besides the ones on this list. If you're looking for something else, something different or perhaps a few sights that reflect the "real" Seattle more than its tourist facade, start with the Best of the Rest. If you are very interested in a specific sight or activity, and you have plenty of information about it, don't skip it because of my recommendations. However, if you don't know much about it, there may be a reason why it's not listed. Research it carefully before you go to be sure you spend your vacation time and money wisely.
