My experience
- I went to Blacks on Thursday, November 4th, 2010. It was about 90 degree (it hit 100 in san diego). There were about 200 men and a few couples, one with a small child. I loved it cause I didn't feel like anyone was gawking (I had that problem in Santa Barbara county). I didn't mind that there were so many men and almost no females cause I go to nude beaches to get a nice even tan and not to stare at others.

- 1 drawback is no facilities on the beach though there are portapotties @ the glider port. BLACK'S is A BLAST! I agree that some should probably leave their clothes on, but hey this is part of what American freedom is all about. There is nothing better than a beach without having to wear a suit. I have seen families with their kids there. GREAT! Our society could be a lot healthier mentally if we would quit treating the body as a commodity. Which brings the point, DO NOT ATTEMPT SEXUAL ACTIVITY ON THIS BEACH. Not with yourself or others. I've been gawked at and even approached. I just let the guys know this gal isn't interested, tx. The beach is clean, I've seen Herons, seals, & loads of sea birds. Watching the hang & paragliders & if they still allow them radio controlled planes is a blast. Military fly overs. Tourist choppers & in between action & nature there's serene peace

Too many old people
- It seemed like all the hot women were clothed and all the old people were naked. Other than that, I had a great time.

fun in da sun
- Went on 08 Aug. Good mix of men, women, couples. 50/20/30. Sand in great shape, water warm! 90% c.o. No LE, except for Lifeguard truck.

Pretty Beach but....
- Black's Beach is absolutely a quintessential California beach with gorgeous cliffs and wide sand beaches. However when I walked down the beach from the La Jolla there were no signs suggesting that it was a nude beach. So it was much to my surprise to see an old naked guy strolling along the shore. Overall, most people are clothed and to the poor wandering 16 year old its better that way

Activities
- Surfing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, jogging, volley ball (there are often groups that bring their own nets and start games and others are welcome to join in), tide pooling near Mussel Rock, and swimming

Clean Beach
- Very clean and at low tide, it is very wide. High tide can consume nearly all of it if it is an especially high, high tide. Sand is fine and is a mixture of black and white sand.
