You CAN collect sea glass
- There are two parts to Glass Beach. The State Park bought the cove that the city of fort bragg "caleaned up" several years ago,by dumping tons of sea glass and beach sand in a landfill. There is another cove that is still covered in glass. It's not part of the state park system. People are so afraid to say you can take the glass. It's trash, bottom line. Now that it's beautiful people want to protect it? Well, if you want to protect it, come and take a bag home and preserve it, because it's just going to turn in to sand anyway.
